Details: Finalists in the Urban Challenge will have the opportunity to compete for $3.5M in prizes as they attempt to complete 60 miles of driving within an urban environment in less than 6 hours. More information is available at

10/25/2007-10/31/07 National Qualifying Event
Time: Thursday, October 25 through Wednesday, October 31.
Place: Southern California Logistics Airport - Victorville, California
Details: We are among 35 teams that have been accepted as semifinalists in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge. The National Qualifying Event will test the abilities of our vehicles and approximately 20 teams will be selected to move on to the final race.

10/12/2007 Vehicle Unveiling and Team Send-Off

Details: Join us as we celebrate our acceptance to the semifinals of the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge by unveiling our competition vehicle and wish us luck as we prepare to compete in Victorville, California.

7/9/2007 Site Visit
Time: 2pm - 6pm
Place: FMC Corporate R&D Center - Princeton, NJ
Details: DARPA Officials will be coming to our testing location to perform an on-site evaluation of our autonomous capabilities. Our performance at the site visit determines our eligibility for the next stage of the Urban Challenge. This event is open only to media organizations, sponsors, and invited guests.

Details: This demonstration event is open to the public - we encourage our sponsors and members of the press to attend. PAVE will be demonstrating the current autonomous capabilities of our vehicle, in preparation for our July 9th Site Visit evaluation by DARPA officials.

Details: The P-Rade is a long-standing Princeton tradition at the annual reunions weekend. PAVE will be presenting Prospect Eleven with the Class of 1997 as we parade across campus with thousands of other alumni.

Details: This demonstration event is open only to media organizations, sponsors, and invited guests. PAVE will be demonstrating the current autonomous capabilities of our vehicle, which include navigation using visual lane detection and GPS.

3/30/2007 IEEE Study Break

Place: PAVE Garage
Details: PAVE will be hosting a study break on behalf of the IEEE. Come to our Garage at 4:30pm for FREE hoagies from Hoagie Haven, as well as an behind-the-scenes tour of PAVE and our vehicles. This event is open to the Princeton University community, and we encourage everyone within the School of Engineering to attend.

Details: As part of alumni day events, PAVE will be giving an open lecture entitled: “There’s Nobody Driving This Truck! Creation of an Autonomous Urban Vehicle: An Example of Extra-curricular Learning through Team-based Independent Research.”

Details: Join us as we celebrate the recent donation of a 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid SUV for our competition vehicle, as well as the creation of a brand new garage workspace. Snacks, Refreshments and Dinner are included for all attendees.
