For those of you who are keen-eyed and constantly checking in on our site, you may have noticed a shift in the web design. For those of you following our RSS feed, head on over to our website to check out the improvements. We’ve been working on many of the additions for over a month now, and we’re proud to unveil what we have so far. Some areas of the site are still under construction, so please keep your hard-hats on and watch for falling debris. We’ll have everything polished up in about two weeks.
In the meantime, take a look around, marvel at the new sidebar and the new navigation structure. Take a look at our gorgeous (in most cases 800 X 600) photos by clicking on the thumbnail previews. If something doesn’t look right, please let us know via our all-new contact form.
We’re currently working on a complete redesign of our entire website, including an all new front page. For those of you who subscribe to our RSS feed but don’t visit often, come on by and see our redesigned blog page. We don’t have a definite launch date for the rest of the site, but we’re planning on having it all up within the next few weeks.
We’re constantly maintaining and updating our website, and lately we’ve done a few major uploads of publications and content:
Our 2009 IGVC design report is now available as a pdf download.
A paper on our method of lane detection, written by Derrick Yu as part of a Junior Independent Work project is also now available as a pdf download.
We’ve finally gotten around to updating our navigation page for the 2008 IGVC.
In addition, we’re working on embedding all of our videos and adding a gallery of our photos. However, you can always visit our flickr group and our YouTube channel for photos and videos, respectively. We’ll also be updating our site with more content about Argos, our entry in the 2009 IGVC.
The Princeton IGVC team will be arriving in Rochester, Michigan on Thursday for the 17th annual IGVC. The competition begins tomorrow with the first round of design competitions. We will be making our design presentation on Saturday. Today, our team is enjoying a day at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, before completing the remaining two hours to the competition location. We’ll be updating the blog with plenty of photos and videos as the competition progresses. Check back soon!
After a few minor setbacks (in which we arrived a few minutes late and Barbara was mistaken for a middle school student), PAVE presented both Prospect Twelve and Argos to Mrs. Weinberger’s 8th period robotics class.
After a moth’s wait for the completion of some light construction work and the Inspector’s seal of approval, PAVE has finally moved in to their new facilities consisting of the adjoining garage and room space.
The IGVC team continues to make good progress after recovering from setbacks encountered prior to exhibiting during the NYC FIRST Regional Competition. Since last week when the new electrical system components arrived, the team has been working to get the robot wired up and rolling on its wheels again. Continue reading IGVC Progress→
