The Mechanical Design sub team is for those who want to work with nuts and bolts, power tools, computer aided design, and the machine shop.

In the past, we built a cable system for pulling the car’s brake, mounted a computer monitor where the glove box used to be, and machined custom parts for various systems using CNC mills in the machine shop.

This year, we will be equipping the car with a new radar system, building and crashing radar obstacles, and working in the machine shop to build an electronic brake actuator.
